Foreign investors shun Turkey

Foreign investors planned large investment projects in Turkey but the recent political and economic tensions in the country urged the investors to shift its focus to European Union countries, the Middle East and Russia. The current political and economic climate in Turkey has shaken the confidence of the investors who now plans to exit the Turkish real estate market, Zaman reported. Jan de Kreij, CEO of Dubai-based Majid Al Futtaim Properties at a conference organised by the Association of Real Estate Investment Companies (GYODER) declared that the company has stopped further investments in Turkey.
